What makes a house easy for termites
Mostly water, and mostly fixable.
In short: The conditions that invite timber pests onto an Oran Park property.
What conducive means
Conditions making a property more attractive or accessible to timber pests, reported separately from evidence of activity.
The main ones
Ground falling toward the building, levels built up against the brickwork, timber stored beside the house and drainage holding water at the footing.
What we recorded
Grading required on Oran Park jobs at both fixing and lock-up stages, on separate properties.
The collar connection
On a new build the first line is the termite management system, which includes the collars fitted before the pour.
Clearing them
Regrade, cut levels back, connect the downpipes, move the timber. Almost all of it is inexpensive.
